The main difference between the Intel Core 2 Duo blue stickers and the Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo pink stinkers is the wireless networking features. The Centrino offers more networking features than the non-Centrino.
Centrino = better perfomance, less heat and less power consumption. The centrino is based on the newer Intel Conroe architecture.
Intel centrino
There is little difference between Core 2 Core and Centrino Duo. Both are dual core processors but Core 2 is slightly better. Centrino is part of the Intel mobile platform.
Intel Centrino Duo is used to refer to a package in laptops consisting of an Intel Core series processor, Intel Chipset, and Intel Wireless card.
Intel Centrino represents Intel Wi-Fi adapters and mobile processors. Systems ran by Intel Centrino have been said to have better performance, longer battery life, and a wider range of Wi-Fi.
The Centrino Duo processor made by the company Intel has two cores. It is implied in the name "Duo" , which can be translated as "two", "double" or "twice".
Centrino manufacture Intel wireless products. They are for the processor of computers and laptops. As the years go, the technology is always advancing and the Centrino products never disappoint.
There is absolutely no difference. They are simply branded differently. A "Centrino" processor is any Pentium M, Core Solo, Core Duo, Core 2 Solo, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, ore Core i7 coupled with an Intel chipset, wireless card, and integrated graphics.
Intel Centrino is a particular combination of mainboard chipset, mobile CPU and wireless network interface in the design of a laptop. Intel claims systems equipped with these technologies deliver better performance, longer battery life, and broad wireless network interoperability. Intel Pentium is a registered trademark that is included in the brand names of many of Intel's x86-compatible microprocessors
If the computer information says that it is a Pentium II then that is correct as the computer always checks the hardware before giving the results. Also the Centrino Duo And Celeron are both based on PII, PIII and P4
Dual Core is better as it has two processing cores, Higher Clock Speed, Bigger FSB, Bigger Cache and it is built for multitasking but it does not mean that Centrino is bad as it is designed for NOTEBOOK Computer and does not give lower performance. Guy above me is wrong He asked about Centrino duo which IS a dual core. The Centrino platform is going to be a LOT faster than the Pentium Dual-Core. Centrino means you're getting a Core 2 Duo processor, Intel chipset, and Intel wireless. Core 2 Duo processors are much faster than Pentium Dual Core processors. These 2 guys above me are wrong... na just kidding i just really wanted to say that :D
Intel centrino-dio is better for the current market.
