It's the same thing.
When buying software, you'll often see:
xyz product
xyz product x86
xyz product 32
These are all 32 bit.
64 bit will always be listed as:
xyz product 64
No you can't because 64-bit won't run on an x86 (32-bit) PC. You have to have the x86 version.
C:\Program Files (x86)\ is the default folder for 32-bit applications on 64-bit Windows.
x86 and x86-64 (x64) are not mutually exclusive. x86-64 is a superset of x86, with 64-bit instructions. Many people still run 32-bit (x86) applications and operating systems on 64-bit processors. The reverse is not possible, though; you can't run a 64-bit system on a processor that only supports 32-bit.
Actually, they both make what are known as x86-64 processors, which are processors that can run both 32-bit and 64-bit programs. Check the specifications of the processor for something like "64-bit" or "64-bit Ready" to make sure you can run both x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) programs!
PC = Personal Computer. Mac OS = the Operating System used by Apple's Macintosh computers. X86 = A 32 bit processor. Originally the name came from Intel's 8086 processor which was a 16 bit processor but the name X86 is now used to denote a processor that can handle 32 bit and 16 bit instructions. X64 = A 64 bit processor sometimes known as an X86-64 as they can handle 16, 32 and 64 bit instructions.
The 32-bit version requires a minimum x86-32 processor and the 64-bit version requires a minimum x86-64 processor. In both cases, they require a minimum clock speed of 1 GHz.
The difference between a 32 bit and 64 bit CPU is the speed in which a computer will read and process the information. A 64 bit CPU will read much quicker and can handle the memory usage better than a 32 bit.
x86-64 is 64 bit processing on 32-bit architecture,not to be confused with true 64 bit-processors like Itaniumhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64

It should say
32 bit drivers are designed for 32 bit computers. 16 bit drivers are designed for 16 bit computers. Most modern computers are either 32 or 64 bit.
I want to download Aegisub on Medocow. But I see two files there aegisub-3.1.3_32.exe (with 32 bit) and aegisub-3.1.3_64.exe (with 64 bit) and I do now know what file I need. What difference between them?
