Mbps is not a file size, but a file transfer rate. It stands for "mega bits per second", in the same way that kbpsstands for "kilo bits per second".

Bits, however, are different from bytes. Bytes are made of 8 bits. A kilobyte (kb) is 1024 bytes(because computing uses multiples of 4, like 8, 16, 32, 64...etc), and a megabyte (mb) is 1024 kilobytes
Because 8 bits make a byte, a kilobyte is 8192 bits, but 1024 bytes.

Coming back to the question, if your transfer rate is 4 mbps, and the transfer lasts for 10 seconds, the file size is 5 megabytes.

Be careful though, because Mbps = megabits per second, but MBps = megabytes per second.

How can a calculate 100mbps?

bps is bytes per second. When you download a file, the speed is (size of file) / (time consumed) So 100 mbps is very fast. faster than any type of download website.

How do you convert megabytes into hours?

To convert megabytes into hours, you need to know the data transfer rate, typically measured in megabits per second (Mbps) or megabytes per second (MBps). For example, if you have a file size in megabytes and a transfer speed in megabytes per second, you can divide the file size by the transfer speed to determine the time in seconds. Finally, convert seconds into hours by dividing the result by 3600 (the number of seconds in an hour).

There are 1024 Mbps per GB so if you have 4096 Mbps, You divide the 4096 by 2 giving you 2048 Mbps/ 1 GB

How long upload 2gb at 5Mbs?

To upload a 2GB file at a speed of 5 Mbps, you first need to convert the file size to megabits. Since 1 byte equals 8 bits, 2GB is equal to 16,384 megabits (2 x 1024 x 8). At a speed of 5 Mbps, it would take approximately 3,277 seconds, or about 54.6 minutes, to complete the upload.

How long does it take to transmit x KB over y Mbps link?

1 Mbps is one million bits per second. This is bits, not bytes. KB is often taken as 1024 bytes, rather than 1000; for additional accuracy, you may want to take this into account. So, assuming a line of 1 Mbps, you can transmit 1,000,000 / (8 x 1024) kilobytes every second, or about 122 KB/sec. For 2 Mbps, multiply this by 2, etc.To find how long a certain file will take, divide the size of the file by the speed (in KB/sec.). For example, if the file has 244 KB, with the above numbers it should take 244 / 122 = 2 seconds to transfer the file. There is some additional overhead in file transmissions, which is hard to quantify; in part, it depends on the quality of the Internet connection.1 Mbps is one million bits per second. Why files over 4 giga size do not copy in FAT32?

Because FAT32 uses 32-bit pointers to indicate file size. The maximum file size for 32-bit addressing is 4 GB. Most modern file systems use 64-bit addressing, allowing file sizes into the terabytes.
