As far as i know Boot is the full form. I believe it is derived from the word Bootstrap which means "use a simple process to start a more complicated process"
Someone please answer this now. :)
It must run from a boot disk in order to boot a PC and test memory on that PC.
POST
PC boot to ? A PC boots to its OS. The OS Can be installed in a pendrive or a cd but usually intalled in hard disk so that it creates no problem.
Boot frozen means that whenever a PC restarts, it will be reverted to a pre-defined state. In other words, if you start you start a boot frozen PC, then delete some files, then the next time you restart the PC, the files will be back.Boot thawed simply means that the PC is not boot frozen.
BIOS
Boot ipl
The answer is Boot.
To do this (assuming you have a bootable DVD ROM - i.e. one with an operating system on it), you need to tell your PC's BIOS to look at he DVD drive during the boot sequence and make this the first drive to try and boot from. To do this you need to get into the BIOS menue - you PC manual will tell you how to do this but you can also try pressing the one of the 'F2', 'F8', 'F9' or 'F12' keys while the PC is starting up (before windows loads), one of these should work! - and change the boot menue options.
You would not be able to boot your PC, or the PC would boot on a drive other than expected. Or you might get the BIOS message that the operating system is missing.
A PC is recommended rather than a Mac With Boot Camp because it will not require you to run boot camp.
there is no way you must buy a usb adapter and boot like so so the pc will detect the hdd this is not my fault if it doesnt work it works for most pc / desktops
