Word is used for a huge range of types of documents, from single pages with just a few words, like for a sign, up to long and complex documents. Then there is the formatting and other things that may be in it, like graphics. Different versions of Word have different sizes, even when a document has the exact same content. Newer versions of Word produce files that are larger in size. So if you typed a document and saved it in an old version of Word and then again in a newer version, although the content would be identical, the newer version of Word will produce a larger file. There are so many other factors too. So the question cannot really be answered, as there is no such thing as a typical Word document.
