Memory wire is a type of shape memory alloy, typically made from nickel and titanium, which can "remember" a predetermined shape. When heated above a specific temperature, it returns to this original shape after being deformed. This unique property is utilized in various applications, including medical devices, robotics, and jewelry, where it can provide flexibility and resilience. Its ability to revert to a set form makes it particularly valuable in situations requiring precise movement or tension.

You need to switch the red wire with the yellow wire and it will not lose the memory any more. One wire is coming from the ignition and the other from the battery directly.
On most stereos that I have dealt with, there are 2 power wires, red and yellow. The yellow is the constant/memory wire. Hope this helps.

im not sure, but you can tell by getting a wire tester at any hardware store, it looks like a screwdriver but has a light where the handle usually would be, touch it to all the exposed parts of each wire, when it lights up, you've found your memory wire, if you put the car on do it again the other wire that lights up is your ignition power wire, , oh yeah if you cant find the memory wire at all, which has happened to me before; see if u can just wire the memory wire up tothe constant cigarette lighter wire, its usually easy, and works.Answeroh yeah, try installdr.com and see if they have it listed
