i was reading about "Hybrid drives" the catch size is about the same as most drives so apparently the drive controller has some sort of predictive catch management that makes the repeatedly accessed tracks, files, or sectors stay in the available catch this may be a firmware change or an entirely different controller it may be interesting to listen to drive activity when you are in a blank screen saver with no programs running
