Charles Babbage invented the concept of the computer as we know it today. His mechanical "Difference Engine" incorporated the ideas of stored programs, centralized processing, and input/output stages.
Unfortunately his design required more-precise metalworking techniques than were available in the mid-19th century, so he was unsuccessful at building a working Difference Engine. It remained until the 20th century for his ideas to be incorporated into electromechanical, and later electronic, computers.
In the 1980s the British Museum built a replica of part of the Difference Engine using modern metals an machining methods. It worked exactly as Babbage had proposed.

You can find specific information about the Abacus' contribution to the development of the computer from computer history websites on the Internet. You can also read about it from textbooks.
Well, depending on what type of development you are talking about, it has helped us in many ways. For example, In the feild of construction, Computer Aided Drafting has sped up the planning process. In the feild of medicine, computers and technology have helped us with chemical equations which also allow for faster research and construction of medicine
Von Newmann was a Mathmatician who worked for the American military, his contribution to the computer field was the BIT as the unit of measurement for computer memory.
I don't want answer that, doesn't make since
One of the persons who made a telling contribution to the history of computer is John Vincent Atanasoff. Atanasoff invented and spearheaded the development of the Atanasoffâ??Berry computer between 1939-1942. The ABC was the world's first automatic electronic digital computer.
Electromagnetism might be associated with a computer.
The significance of studying computer is so that you understand how they work. As technology continues to improve, most jobs use a computer in some way or another, so it will make yourself more marketable when it comes time to find a job.
It allowed miniaturization beyond the discrete transistor, allowing the introduction of the minicomputer in the middle 1960s.
Howard aiken developed Mark I with the help of Grace Hopper at Harvard university USA.
Technology is advancing and so of course computers have to do the same.
Need FOR DEVELOUPEMENT FOR THE BETTERMENT OF TECHNOLOGY
