Computers use 1's and 0's to indicate data. Sets of eight 1's and 0's form one piece of data, such as a single letter etc. This is referred to as a byte. A single 1 or 0 is referred to as a bit.

It also use 1 as ' High input/output' & 0 as ' Low input/output'.
