It has a motherboard-integrated graphics chipset by Intel: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
The i5 processor contains a very descent HD4000 graphics processor that allows gaming. It is not for hardcore gaming. An additional graphics card makes the laptop a good gaming one...go for it !!
It will not have as fast a processor as a larger laptop, most of the time not as good a graphics card, and a smaller screen.
Any laptop with an i7 processor and a ati or NVidia Graphics would work just fine.
The best gaming laptop with 3D graphics would be Dell's Alienware M17x. It has an Intel core i7 940XM Extreme Edition processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285M graphics. Market value is $1799, but Dell's Price is $1599.
Nividia Geforce 610M
If games are running slowly on your laptop you may need to upgrade your RAM, graphics card, or your processor.
The things it should have are good graphics, a large hard drive and RAM, and a Dual or Quad Core Processor.
Not all of them can, it depends on what kind of graphics card you have in your laptop. I would suggest going to this link: http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce8.html It helped me find the best graphics card for my laptop.
Laptop make doesn't determine how well a game will run on it. You need to pay attention to the graphics card, sound card, processor and heat production.
Macs do have video cards. For example the current range of iMacs have: ▪ 20-inch and 24-inch model with 2.66GHz processor has the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory ▪ 24-inch model with 2.93GHz processor has one of the following: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory or NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory or ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory ▪ 24-inch model with 3.06GHz processor has one of the following: NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory or ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory
223 Mhz is the slowest processor i have seen installed onto a laptop.
The graphics processor should already be in use if your driver is installed. if the driver is not installed then you can download and install it from the respective processor brand.
