A reply letter refers to a follow up to a discussion via writing or orally. It could be following up on a request that hasn't been fulfilled yet, or thanking someone for an appointment.

Nobody has to reply to anything. I reply if I feel like it.
You could be truthful and tell the questioner where you have been. You could answer that it is none of their business where you have been. You could tell the questioner a lie as to where you were. Which option you chose is up to you but the truth is normally the best answer.
When some says "wassup" you would reply as if someone asked you " what's up."
When asked what's up your response can be as simple as not much. Or you can go into detail about what you are doing.
Because people want to see what you did O_o. when my sister asked this , i replied tubelight - fan :):) if i had been sleeping in the terrace then ,my reply would hav been different :):)
