A toolbar is a dockable child window that contains icons that activate program features.
In later versions, toolbars are known as ribbons. The default configuration in Excel 2010 has File, Home, Insert, Page Layout, Formulas, Data, Review and View as ribbon titles. In those ribbons, you will find commands that are generally related to the ribbon title.
All depending on what version of Microsoft Excel you have - there's a tab along the top toolbar that says "Format".
Click on the Office icon (circle at top left of screen).Click on Excel Options (bottom right margin of Office menu window).Select Popular options (usually first item on the list at the left side of the Excel Options window).On the right side, click on "Show Mini Toolbar on selection."Click OK.
