You would use a virtual server to host more than one domain name on the same computer. The web sites are not affected by sharing one computer, they act just as if they are being hosted by a dedicated server.

You wouldn't have your computer.
The file server. It's essentially a large-capacity computer (with lots of RAM and a huge hard-drive) - that shares the programs and memory (resources) with each terminal connected to the network.
Computer server: A computer that manages centralized data storage or network communications resources. A server provides and organizes access to these resources for other computers linked to it.When a a computer can manage efficiently all those resources, it will be a powerful server. Note that behind a computer must have skilled operators.
It would be a host. All other computers connected to that network are clients.
Assuming you already have the Server Core running you need to add the role, as you would in other versions of Server 2008.
A network resource is an individual computer on a private network that users can connect to. It can either be a terminal server or a computer with remote desktop enabled. An example would be telecommunications media.
All company networks these days are client-server networks. A server is no more then a computer offering one or more services to other computers. Such service can be as simple as file sharing, printing or access to the internet. A lot of people also have a client-server network at home. Many people have a computer system or NAS offering file storage for all computer systems, or have a computer allowing others to use it's printer
You would not be able to move those bones and would not be able to do anything.
You can host a website anywhere. Off of your mobile device or your home computer, a dedicated server or virtual server. How would you host a website on your computer? That would be a bad idea seeing as how you need to keep your computer always online with a steady internet connection which could also leave your computer open to hackers unless you put up security. The answer really is, you don't host your own website without using a server, its not practical.
