While the answer below is creative and can somewhat be understood, the simple answer to this question is: No. A computer virus is not alive. It is just a malevolent program that is designed to automatically attack a computer, but it is not alive like viruses that attack a human body.A living virus? In my opinion; A computer virus acts like a program, but when executed, it does malicious tasks automatically in your computer without you knowing. Since it works inside a computer, it's like it breathes on electricity, and thinks with the Artificial Intelligence given by its creator. Without electricity, the virus doesn't breathe its source of life for it to do its purpose. So you could say it is "virtually" alive or something like that.

Trojan horse that installs onto vulnerable computers without any awareness. READ BELOW AND GET RID OF THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE-IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS TROJAN. Although this type of virus doesn't have the ability to replicate itself or spread to other devices sharing the same network, it can lead to other infections being installed on a machine and cause tons of troubles to PC users. Hackers usually put this virus in some pornography web sites or get it bundled with "free" programs. So if a user ever downloaded some freeware or shareware on the Internet or visited those malicious web sites, his computer must be more vulnerable to be attacked by this nasty virus. You may have your computer infected with the Trojan:Win32/Dynamer!ac virus if you click on an unknown link, go to a hacked website, open a spam email or install a malicious program. One of its goals is to install as much malicious software as possible in your computer so as to do further damages and collect your sensible information. Malicious codes are injected into your computer system, which allows the hackers to full control your computer remotely. To make matters worse, it won't be removed easily by the antivirus software in the computer or uninstalled from the control panel, because it has the ability to reset the default system settings once the computer is infected. Another consequence brought by the Trojan infection is a lot of pop-up windows and online web page redirections. Your computer will act quite slowly like a snail. Therefore, you should get this annoying virus removed from your computer as soon as possible without any doubt.
