I have compared them side by side and can honestly say they are nearly exactly the same. The HP laptop has a higher review than the toshiba but the HP as to many preloaded program built in (which isn't all bad but people do not like preloaded programs like me). The performance on both laptops are the same, so its just the question of how does the laptop feel. I mean by using the mouse, keyboard, if it feels plastic or soild etc. You will have to test both laptops for that one.
