Smart-phones usually have a touch-sensitive display. When you touch the screen (with a finger or stylus) it creates a difference in the resistance at that point on the display. This tells the phone to star an app or or other function.

I finally figured this one out. You've got to use the point of a pen, and then push repeatedly on the function you want to set. After repeatedly pushing the time set button with the point of a pen, I finally got the hour display to flash. With the hour flashing, I repeatedly pushed the down arrow button with the point of a pen. After many pushes, I managed to get the hour to decrease by an hour. I then had to repeatedly push (with the point of a pen) the time set button for it to cycle through the various functions to return it to normal operation. Good luck with this one. It really is a pain to set.
What worked for my Espace IV was: With keycard in and engine off: Push the button on the end of the control stalk until the 'Service now due' shows in the display. Push and hold the button. After a while the 'Service now due' starts to flash. Keep the button held in. After a while the display changes to 'Service in 18,000 miles' and flashes. At this point let go of the button. Job done. Charles.
To reset the MPG (miles per gallon) display on a Citroën Xsara Picasso, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Use the trip computer button, usually located on the stalk or dashboard, to navigate to the fuel consumption display. Press and hold the button until the display resets to zero. This will clear the current MPG reading, allowing you to track fuel efficiency from that point onward.
The button that typically moves the insertion point to the right is the "Right Arrow" key on a keyboard. In most text editing software, pressing this key will advance the cursor one character to the right. Additionally, in some applications, you may find a "Right" button within the user interface that serves the same function.

The white button on the big red button is located at the center of the red button. It serves as the activation point for the big red button and is typically slightly raised or distinguished in some way from the surrounding red surface. Pressing the white button triggers the mechanism or function associated with the big red button.
