Not unless you print out what you scan
i think ink is not used to scan documents.
Ink is not needed to scan, as the scan is taken digitally and stored as a graphic file. Ink or toner is needed in the printer to print the result of the scan on to paper.
no you don't lose ink. you only lose ink when printing, copying, or recieving a fax
Yes. Scanning items from the printer does not use ink.
Try press the Stop/Reset button for 5 secs (red circle with triangle in it). The printer should ignore the ink problem and you will be able to scan

Use him to write with until he runs out, so as not to waste it.
haha, if you're speaking in the military sense, they're saying you're not worth the ink you signed your contract with.......worthless is what it means.
I think so because the picture is being copied onto the computer and not printing anything which would use the ink. So, no I'm pretty sure it wouldn't use ink.
Cheap printer ink cartridges are a waste of time, Ink will run and make a mess. Saving money on ink will only cost you more in the long run. Buy the best. Save yourself.
