"I would first try Amazon and Ebay to see if you could find a Smith Corona in your price range. Other places to try are Staples, Office Max and other office supply stores."

The most reliable place online to find Smith Corona typewriter ribbons is from Amazon. They have an incredible selection of many different types and colours needed for replacement.
Abilene Typewriter Sales and Repairs, 1405 South 1st Street, Abilene, Texas.
You can find Smith Corona typewriter parts for the Model PWP 3100 at various online retailers such as eBay, Amazon, or specialty sites like Typewriter Repair and Typewriter Shop. Additionally, local office supply stores or vintage typewriter repair shops might carry parts or offer repair services. For specific needs, checking with dedicated typewriter enthusiast forums or groups can also be helpful.
I cannot seem to find any type of model #/ name on typwriter.
I have a Smith-Corona electric typewriter called a "Coronet Super 12" still in the case. It is blue in color and still works. In excellent condition. Was wondering the value of this typewriter and what would be the best way to find a buyer? Thank you, Pam Burkholder
If you search your local phone book you may find a good typewriter-repair place. They can probable fix it for you. If you need ribbons, try Staples
To find the memory mode on a Smith Corona XD 6600 typewriter, first, ensure the machine is powered on. Press the "Mode" key until you see "Memory" or "M" displayed on the screen. This indicates that the typewriter is in memory mode, allowing you to use its features for storing and recalling text. Refer to the user manual for more specific instructions on using memory functions.
i have it :)
I have one.
I am not sure if you mean to unlock the case or to unlock it from the case that is holding it. I had one of these and to open the case you have two small levers on each side to open it. Push both at the same time. To take it out of the case you will find a hook in the back of the machine that you unhook. The hook engages a lever under the typewriter and you can lift it out. Turn turn on the typewriter you fill find the switch on the side ( right side if memory serves me right).
Hi there ~ I was looking for the same instruction manual, and I found this website: http://users.lewiston.com/ejorgens/office/smithcorona/smithcorona.html It appears to sell manuals for a lot of different/vintage typewriters, including the smith corona portable sterling. (I'm assuming you are refering to the 1938 - 1949 model) Look for the Clipper/Stering manual if this is the age of your machine.
