You will have to go through your base. They will have an IMO course that must be taken to become an IMO on the installation. I know that you also need an IASO Cert. along with Security + i believe. There may be additional memo's from your CDR. or training modules you need to complete.
I'm not 1,000% on this but i have been looking for answers myself on exactly what is needed to become an IMO.

Different jobs for the US army will require different qualifications. However before joining the army you will be required to take an ASVAB to see what you meet the requirements for.
