In Windows, deleted files are typically moved to the Recycle Bin, which can be accessed from the desktop or File Explorer. To restore a deleted file, you can open the Recycle Bin, right-click on the file, and select "Restore." If a file is permanently deleted (bypassing the Recycle Bin), it is generally harder to recover and may require specialized recovery software.
You can delete it by going into Windows Explorer, finding the file, right clicking it, and clicking delete.
Click the file>press the delete key (or del)>Press the enter key
Trash can.
By going to the 'add & delete program' file under control panel
There are many ways to delete files on Windows 8. This includes selecting the file and using the delete key, as well as right clicking the object and selecting delete.
You shouldn't. It's probably important.
If your antivirus software found it, it is likely okay to delete. There is a valid file with that name (always in the windows folder), but it is also a file name that has been used by malware. The valid file is not a core file for your system, so deleting it wouldn't cause your computer to crash or anything.
i don't know the difference but what i know is ... deleted file from MS-DOS is never go to the recycle bin. Thanks !
If a system-scan from your antivirus doesn't help, try a scan with Spybot. If one of the scanners recognizes the 'bad guy', but isn't able to remove it, try a scan while your computer is in Save Mode. Good luck, Jahewi :-) Tried in safe mode already but still restoring from the _RESTORE folder in Windows Me, even after turning off the System Restore. I'll let you guys know when I find an answer GalegoPC Hi, folks. This is the list of files Ive deleted to fix this pest! Good luck.
When you delete a file using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, Windows typically moves the file to the Recycle Bin instead of permanently deleting it. This allows users to recover the file if needed. The file remains in the Recycle Bin until it is either restored or the bin is emptied, at which point the file's data is marked as available for new data but may still be recoverable with specialized tools until overwritten.
Usually when you delete something your computer doesn't actually delete it. Look in your recycle bin or trash can. Otherwise, you can download a file recovery application. Search Google for "file recovery for windows".
