I'm assuming yo're trying to get the Action Replay DS to work with vista? Lots of people have the same problem, and the solutions always say to look for "NDS Link" in "USBIO controlled devices" in device manager, yet fail to mention how to solve the also common problem of there being no "USBIO controlled devices" in device manager. So here's the solution!

-Make sure the Action Replay DS disk is in your CD drive install the code manager off of it, but LEAVE IT IN THE CD DRIVE FOR NOW.

-With the Action Replay in your DS, turn on the DS and plug it into your computer. It should say something like "unknown software/drivers found" or whatever; select the option to automatically find the correct drivers and install. Now, one of two things will happen:

1. Hopefully, it will ask you if you want to install it with the drivers from the disk that's still in your CD tray; select that and voila! ARDS now works on vista. And if you check device manager, it will now have a "USBIO controlled devices" folder, containing "NDS Link."

2. If that didn't happen, it probably said it couldn't find the drivers, as if the disk wasn't in the tray. It usually did this for me, and lots of people, even though all the customer service things said the result above would happen. If this happens, plug in the DS to a different USB slot, and try again. I don't know why it only works with one USB slot, but it just does. If you tried all of your USB slots and it still doesnt install the drivers, I'm afraid I can't help you from there.

Hope that helped; if not I'd try e-mailing a codejunkies employee.

Artise B's note...these steps work for windows7 64bit...i dont know about vista

- if this doesn't work

  • Click the Start button . In the search box, type run, and then, in the list of results, click Run.

    • In the Run dialog box, type hdwwiz, and then click OK.
    • next you will get a message if you have the installation CD cancel blah blah...click next
    • select the option "install the hardware that i manually select from a list (advanced)
    • next select "show all devices"
    • next select the box "have disk..."
    • place your computers CD drive in the space (it will not select the correct driver automatically) then select OK
    • then hit next and next again to install the hardware
    • unplug your USB and plug it back in (with the AR turned on) and bam! MONEY!
    hope i helped -peace
