They are all somewhat the same. You have a drive by wire system. (no cable-a radio signal is used to tell comp gas pedal and throttle position and maintain relationship) This is on your throttle body on one side the other moves the blade. This sensor tell the computer the position of the blade in your throttle body.
It is located on the bottom of the throttle body. You can find the throttle body by following the two big air pipes from the air filter box, they end at the throttle body. To access the throttle position censor you must remove the throttle body.
Called the TPS is mounted on the throttle body under the hood.
Follow the air intake hose to the throttle body. Mounted to the "front" of the throttle body are two sensors. The upper is the idle air control valve. Under this one...and a little difficult to get to is the TPS.
On my 97 its under the distributor cap.
