Any Mac software that handles graphics (Preview for example) can convert between tiff and jpg (or any of the other popular formats). For most applications you would open your tiff file and then select Save As and there will be an option to select the required Format.

SFW(not to be related with SWF) was a proprietary format used by Seattle Film Works. There is still available for download a free program which will open sfw files, and will convert them to other formats, including jpeg and tiff. You can converting a batch of sfw files to tiff format using IrfanView with no problem at all.

You can make a screenshot of the window as described in the related question. Another possibility would be to print to an image format like TIFF. I am not sure if there is a TIFF printer driver out there, but for sure there is a Microsoft Image Writer. It saves into a Microsoft image format that can be later converted to TIFF.
