In a motherboard, VCC (Voltage Common Collector) is typically connected to the power supply through designated power connectors, such as the 24-pin ATX connector and additional CPU or GPU power connectors. Ground connections are usually made through the same power connectors, as well as various ground pins located throughout the motherboard. It's essential to follow the motherboard's manual for specific connection points to ensure proper power distribution and system stability.
You would not want to connect Vcc and Gnd together. That would short circuit the power supply.
A: ABSOLUTELY Vcc must always be positive to ground reference. That does not means that it will not work if Vcc is at ground and ground is -5 volts. both situation are valid.
You might hav connected pins 3 and 12 both to the ground or vcc.... connect 3 to vcc and 12 to ground....:-)
To wire a mini PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor, first, identify the terminals: typically, there are three connections: VCC (power supply), GND (ground), and OUT (output). Connect the VCC terminal to the positive voltage supply (usually 5-12V), and the GND terminal to the negative ground. Connect the OUT terminal to the input of your control device, such as a relay or microcontroller. Ensure the connections are secure, and test the sensor to confirm proper functionality.
The motherboard is main part of CPU. All parts do connect with motherboard.

collector voltage wit respect to ground
this is entirely dependent on what connections the motherboard has available
Vcc +5, - Vcc can connect according to the pin configuration but Data + and data_ is the confusing to connect on cd player main board. you can find pin configuration of type A on several site's. i am looking for D+, D- connection diagram
Connect the cards to the motherboard and use the jumper which came with the motherboard to connect the 2 cards together ,and there you go!
these two pins are biasing pins of ICs.
it is used to connect expansion cards to the Motherboard
