Windows 2000 and on used IRQ sharing because the OS would allow more and more hardware. There is a set number of IRQs (15 or 16).
LTP1 should use IRQ7.

By default, the IRQ for the floppy disk controller is IRQ 6.
By default IRQ 7 is assigned to LPT1.
