To insert a chart in most spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel, you would use the "Insert" menu ribbon. This section typically contains options for various types of charts, such as bar, line, and pie charts. After selecting the desired chart type, you can then customize it based on your data and preferences.
For Excel 2007 it is on the Insert tab of the menu ribbon.

To set up a chart sheet in Excel, select your data, insert a chart, right-click it, choose Move Chart, and select New Sheet. Done! Your chart is now on its own sheet.
Prior to Office 2007, all Microsoft Office applications used menus instead of a ribbon and tabs. The Insert menu would have had various items on it similar to those that are now found on the Insert tab on the ribbon. So you could insert things like fields, pictures, dates, times, symbols etc.
To insert a 3D pie chart in your current worksheet using the selected data, first highlight the data you want to include in the chart. Then, go to the "Insert" tab on the ribbon, click on "Pie Chart," and select the "3-D Pie" option from the dropdown menu. The chart will be created and placed in your worksheet, where you can further customize it as needed.
Click on the Insert tab on the ribbon menu. You will see several chart options listed (Column, Line, Pie, Bar, Area, Scatter, Other Charts). If you need more chart options, just click on the little arrow in the bottom right corner of the Charts section.
Select the Insert menu or ribbon item and then Picture > From file, an explorer will open and you find your digital image file and click <Open>.
