You can work archos 5 android on Linux through a tablet.
Flashing your device is a serious consideration to make. It is worth researching the topic for a number of days before making this decision. There are, as yet, no ways to flash an Archos 5 IMT with Android software, as the hardware was designed specifically for the software installed. My best advice is to thing more carefully in the future about how expandable your device will be. Android is always a good bet and worth spending extra for.
the archos 5 internet tablet is much better
It is not possible to have Roblox on Linux, with the only exception being Android (which is based on Linux). For your information, Roblox is also supported on Windows XP and above, OS X Snow Leopard and above as well as iOS 5 or greater.
archos 7 is better because it doesnot eat out with fat chicks;) no seriously archos makes great products and the best thing to do is get the break down by asking the experts aka send the help support or contuact them through emails and ski which is better. they will ask you what you want to use each for then you respond and ask for a breakdown between to the two and the different capiblities between them. most likely the archos 7 will be better as it is newer; however, the archos 5 will have more andriod apps
Any MP3 player that presents itself as a USB Mass Storage device should work on Windows ME. The Archos 5, for instance, should work.
If one is looking to see an unwanted Archos 5 Tablet, there are a number of websites that can help. Some examples include Gumtree, uSell, Buy My Tronics and Kijiji.

It does appear this is a mini dock/battery charger for the Archos 5 Internet media tablet. I found the following link to the company's web site and directs to the specific product you want. http://www.archos.com/products/imt/archos_5/accessories.html?country=ru〈=en&p=battery Gomadic also has one without needing the dock... http://www.gomadic.com/archos-5--120---250-gb--rapid-wall-ac-charger.html
Linux by a country mile. It is far ahead of Microsoft in the number of embedded devices running some version of Linux. Why? I'm not sure anyone can accurately answer this. I can propose possibilities though, such as:1) Linux is Open Source, thus easily customized to your embedded device of choice.2) Linux kernel source code costs you nothing but your time.3) Linux is reliable.4) Millions of people know how to use Linux.5) Millions of people use Linux and have no idea they are even using it (eg Android phones, MeeGo devices etc.) so it is tried and true.6) etc, so on and so forth ad infinitum...
