Craftman is one of the leading tool suppliers out there. They are dependable, affordable, tough and versatile. They have a tool for any construction project one can think of.Craftsman Tools have been steadily going downhill over the past years. They won't even backup warranties on some of their electric tools anymore. -You buy a belt sander and the drive belt breaks - you pay for the new one, and other similar scams. Anyone who suggests that they are 'leading suppliers' obviously knows little about tools. - The question is too broad anyway as there is no company that makes "the best tools" across the board. -GearWrench makes the best wrenches, Hilti makes the best rotary drills, DeWalt makes excellent saws, Milwaukee makes some of the best drills, Makita makes the best belt sanders and so on. -No single company has a monopoly on good tools, - least of all Craftsman.
