Why is special clothing necessary fo making computers?

It's necessary because computers are built in the scale of nanometers. Think VERY small, the size of atoms. They are made up of thousands of little 'bridges' that pass the electrons around. Even something as small as a strand of hair or a flake of skin is enough to break these bridges and slow down, if not break, the computer.

The reason you don't need this clothing when you're using your computer at home is because the chip is protected and sealed after it is made. This keeps dust and hair and other bad things out.
