The CPU or Central Processing Unit is considered the brain of the computer because it is responsible for making decisions and calculations. The CPU chip contains millions of tiny transistors that work together.
The CPU is the central processing unit of the computer. it is there that all the calculations and comparison processes of the computer occur. this is why it is called the brain of the computer.

As it name - Central Processor Unit - implies, it is the circuit that actually does the computing at binary level.

CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, indicating that everything you do on your computer must first be Processed (thought about) by your Processor (CPU). The CPU doesn't remember things, though. Your Hard Drive and RAM are the ones doing all the remembering. Using Brain terminology, your CPU does the thinking, and your Hard Drive Does the remembering.
