Why is there no sound coming from your speakers?

Check the connector that the speakers are plugged into to make sure that it is

a) plugged in correctly to the computer.

b) plugged into the correct hole.

c) if it has a volume control that it is at mid range so you can hear them

d) make sure that the connector has two rubber separators on the the metal part of the connector meaning stereo as opposed to one for mono or three for surround sound.

e) there are two different length of plugs available 3.5 and 7.5 mm , ensure you are using the appropriately lengthed connector

f) try another set of speakers

g) try this set of speakers on another device, if they work then your speakers are ok.

h) check for any breaks in your speaker cables.

i) plugged into the power correctly ( if required )

j) don't have flat batteries ( if required )

Otherwise.

Check under your operating system that the speakers are not muted under the audio icon in the system tray.

Check to make sure that the volume level is not set to a level where you can not hear it ( effectively a mute )

Check that your sound hardware is installed correctly under the hardware section of your operating system.
