Look under your power settings in the control panel. There are options there for "What to do when I press the power button", "What to do when I press the sleep button" and "What to do when I close the lid".
How did you disable it on MY laptop!!! When did you get in here..... Seriously, try restarting your laptop (don't sleep or suspend, RESTART). Unless you disabled the hardware in the BIOS, the built-in audio should have its drivers reloaded, and then you can use the Sound Control Panel to enable it.
sleep mode.
All batteries will drain a small amount, even if they are not being used. However, a substantial battery drain would be due to a problem with the battery or laptop. Make sure that the laptop is indeed off, though. With Vista, clicking the power button in the start menu will not shut down the laptop, but will instead put it into sleep mode. This continues to drain the battery. Some of the lights on the computer will still be lit when the laptop is in sleep mode, while no lights will be on if the laptop is turned off.
Since I've changed my operation system (I had Win 7 and I put it again) when I put my laptop to sleep it doesn't wakes up, only the power button's led, but the screen not. I can only shut it down pressing longer the power button. I've put Microsoft Windows 7 - Ultimate - Service Pack 1 (x86) - DVD (English). Any opinions?
I am not sure exactly what you mean by this question, but I thing you mean, "When you put your laptop into sleep mode does it shut down?" the answer to the question I just stated would be: When you put your laptop into sleep mode, it does not shut down, it just turns the screen blank to save battery power. To exit out of sleep mode you can either move around your mouse, or press any button on your keyboard. Once you do this, all the windows that you had up when you turned your computer to sleep, should still be on your screen. Hope this helped!
The iPod Touch sleep/wake button is the button, when pressed once, puts your iPod to sleep. It also awakens your iPod Touch from that sleep and turns on and off your iPod Touch.
Yes, it puts the laptop in a kind of sleep mode so that when you open the laptop back up (some laptops require for you to hit the power button) it will take a few seconds to resume and you basically start back where you left off.
sleep or get a laptop.
You wake it up:)
This question is a little badly worded but I will bring you through a quick checklist of things to go through. 1. If you say its after it goes to sleep I'm assuming you closed the laptop, If so every laptop has a built in switch right near the hinges that will shut your screen off after the laptop has closed a certain percentage. Make sure that switch isn't starting to get worn down and or stuck in place. 2. Possible charge issue, check and make sure no wires on your laptop charger are frayed or damaged (This means the half after the a/c adapter as well) 3. You can always adjust the sleep timer for the laptop if it went to sleep before closing the lid in your settings. 4. Hold the power button until laptop is powered off and turn it back on. This may not be great for you if your in the middle of an unsaved paper but hey at least your signed back in.
Yes of course :)
To set sleep mode to repeat on a Toshiba device, access the power settings through the Control Panel or System Preferences, depending on your operating system. Look for the "Sleep" or "Power Options" section and adjust the settings to define the duration before the device enters sleep mode. If available, enable any options related to scheduling or repeating the sleep function. Save your changes, and the device will now enter sleep mode according to your specified settings.
