Speeds faster than 1x does not support audio in Windows Movie Maker.
You need to use an external audio editor for fixing audio before importing it into the program. Windows Movie Maker can't fix audio (only adjust volume levels/fades).
The audio file you are trying to import into Windows Movie Maker is probably not compatible with the program. Audio files compatible with Windows Movie Maker include:aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, .wmaIf the file name extension (format) of the audio in not one of those listed above, you are going to have to convert it before it can be imported.
well ill tell you what i did to fix this problem. i took the specific clip, put it in windows movie maker then published the clip after i put it in the timeline. after the publishing was done i found the movie i made in windows movie maker and put it in sony vegas and i worked
Be sure it is in a format it will accept like WMA or MP3 or WAV, AACS (itunes) wont work, nor will OGGs work.
You have to highlight them (select them together) or select a folder containing the files to add to your Movie Maker Collections. If the program is not allowing you to do this, then you might need to reinstall the Movie Maker.
I have to move my mouse mouse quickly up
they wont tell us
when I sign in it wont accept my password when I use the password you sent me it still wont let me in
WMM (Windows Movie Maker) can only import the following file formats:Video files: .asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmvAudio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff, .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wmaPicture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmfIf your Audio/Music is not formatted with one of the above mentioned file name extensions, WMM can't import it into the program. The Audio/Music will need to be converted before importing.Notation:Windows Movie Maker project files must be Imported into the program. They cannot be dragged and dropped from other locations.
you have to download a video converter prism is the best but is only trial.

It means that you have hardware problems. If more precisely windows cannot properly recognized the audio card. There are at least two reasons for that. The first one is drivers. Make sure that you have correct version if required reinstall. The second reason is hardware which is more complicated and might require extra effort from you. Make sure that the card was installed properly. But you have sound and you are able to listen music and watch movie with sound than the problem is the movie maker. Check its settings, especially audio/sound settings. Mario76 says: I was having the same problem with Windows Movie Maker but after some reserch on the internet i found the solution that worked for me. ( by the way I am using Windows Vista Home Premium ) In order to be able to record from speakers you should first activate it from Windows' settings which is deactivated by default on Windows Vista : 1. Right-click on the microphone icon on the main panel and click to 'Audio Source Settings in Windows VISTA'. Sound control panel of Windows will open. 2. In the Recording tab, you will see your devices enabled for audio recording. Right-clickanywhere on any device or in the white blank area. Click on Show Disabled Devices in the popup menu. 3. If your sound card supports, 'Stereo Mix' , 'Mono Mix', 'Wave-Out', 'What U Hear', or something similar will appear. Right-click on that device and click Enable. 4. Now select the device you enabled or another one which you want to use for your audio recording and click Set Default. I hope that solves your problem.
