To power a computer, with semi-decent specs, Thermaltake is a good-brand they don't really excel in power supplies when compared to Corsair or Antec however. 430w is a reasonable wattage for a £500 system
It would be safer and to purchase a new power supply,a repaired power supply might pose a fire hazzard.
To keep the power supply cool. If there were no fan the power supply would overheat and fail.

That would depend on the power supply.
The PC power supply box's function is to supply the computer with power. Without the PC power supply box, the computer would not be able to turn on and off.
The best place to look would be a medical supply store.
I would use a 300W power supply for a 250W appliance. It's recommended to have a power supply that can handle more than the actual wattage of the appliance to ensure efficient operation and prevent overloading. In this case, a 300W power supply would provide enough headroom to safely power the 250W appliance.
is that price and supply tend to follow demand. is that price and supply tend to follow demand.
No you can not. The power supply output of 1.2 amps is under sized. You would need to have a power supply of 3 amps or larger.
The computer will only consume what power it needs. No diffference. if you have a 350watt power supply, and it is using more then 70% power consuption, the life of that power supply will be short, so always aim big when picking out a power supply, ie: 50-100 watts more than what you would actually need.
In order to supply power supply to your computer you would need an outlet plug near your computer. Then you can plug your computer into that and necessarily, use an extension.
A power supply unit (PSU) provides power to all the components in the computer. Typically that would include the system board, the processor, the video cards, and storage devices.
