Your computer has been hacked by another person or there is a virus on it.
When the computer crashes and you lose your data.
When the computer crashes and you lose your data.
No I don't think so.You will not lose your data just by rebooting your computer.
You would be unable to boot or use your computer until you reinstalled an operating system. You would lose any personal data you had saved on your computer.
When you shut the computer off, you lose what is in RAM. The computer keeps what is in ROM (it would not start again without it), and you generally keep what is in your folders. If the folders were actually stored in RAM and not on the hard drive, you would lose the data. Or if the computer glitched when you cut it off, you might lose a little bit of what is on the hard drive. But generally, you keep what is in ROM and in the folders on your hard drive.
Sometimes when upgrading the OS of your computer there is a risk of losing the data on your computer even with minor upgrades. it is always suggested to back up the contents of your computer just in case your data did happen to get erased.
On a laptop computer? Not if the data has been saved and the computer has been properly switched off before the battery is removed.
because of virus.the virus makes the file corupted and it lose the data
No, simply rebooting your computer (turning it off, then on again) does not erase all the data on the computer. However, you can lose unsaved data on files that you are currently working on if you don't save. Reformatting (reinstalling your operating system) will erase all the data on your computer and set it back to its default settings.
Repair the O/S with windows CD or recovery partition. I have all my personal data backed up so no need to worry about losing everything. But if I did lose more personal files, I would do a data recovery to see what I can get back.
If you mean lose it on your computer, then I would recommend re-downloading it.
If that happens your computer gets controlled you might lose data and your computer could get shut down for good it also depends on what type of computer worm you got.
