To Delete any toolbar you need to simply click the tools button on the bottom right corner of your dialog box. Then drag the mouse on to toolbars and click the toolbar you want to lock.

If you don't see it, right click up on the icon toolbar, click Customize, then find the history icon in the customize dialog and drag it to your toolbar.
