When a notification is received and a link is given the link at one time was good and worked but it may have expired. which caused you to receive a bad link.
Answer from Francis: I am not talking about such cases. The topics or answers are still there the same, just the links from Notification never work. I must search for the respective contributions and call them up, which is sometimes very complicated.
On Facebook u have to click the link SMS notifications and fill out your information and conformation code.
You have to link Gmail on both. Logging your account from Laptop and tablet will sync it. You can then receive notifications on both.

If you are signed up to receive emails from WikiAnswers you can opt out by selecting the "unsubscribe" link in the bottom of an email when you get it. You can also sign into your account and under "My Settings" disable all notifications, or just the ones pertaining to email and newsletters.

You should never get any "invalid" link on the questions. A question automatically becomes a URL as soon as it is asked and submitted. However, Answers does have types of questions that are forbidden to ask---in that case, the page will say why you cannot submit that question.
