You will need to do a system restore. Restart your computer in safe mode (reboot and press the F8 key continuously until you get the option to start in safe mode). When in safe mode, use system restore to restore your system to just before you installed that Service Pack.

No it will do it automatically to restart itself once you have updated it via iTunes, it's a restart rather than a power off.
Sometimes, It really depends, If you have downloaded a new file, opened a new email it could be a virus, But if you have just updated your system, eg. Internet, better email service etc. it might just be the system. Refresh the page a few times- log on and off, restart PC. If that doesn't work, check your Firewall!
Try the redistributable service packs instead (check the links).

If you have installed a game update, you may need to start from scratch. I updated Rainbow 6 Vegas and couldn't restart from a checkpoint but had to restart the level instead. Didn't need to restart from the beginning of the game though. From Notty71
After you have updated your computer, You probably won't notice much. But it kind of just renewed everything on your computer. It is keeping everything in order and getting stuff to help make your system better. You just don't see it.
If your HP C4820 won't scan, first ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network and that all necessary drivers are installed and updated. Check for any error messages on the printer's display or your computer, and restart both the printer and your computer. If the issue persists, try using the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and resolve scanning problems. Additionally, ensure that the scanner is not set to "offline" mode in your computer's settings.
