A laser printer can be a very expensive piece of equipment. However, if you properly maintain your printer and clean it every so often, you can greatly extend the life of your printer. Here are some easy to follow steps to use to clean your laser printer.
The first thing you will want to do is clean the outside case of your printer. You will need a cloth. Find a cloth with a relatively soft texture. You will also need a cleaning solution that is plastic friendly. If you don’t have any, water may suffice. You may also want to look over the documentation that came with your printer. It may include instructions on how to clean the outside case.
Once the printer has been turned off, take your cleaning solution and dampen the cloth with it. Now take the cloth and gently wipe down the outside case of the printer. Be very careful to make sure no liquid leaks inside the printer.
Next, you will clean the inside of the printer. First, unplug your printer from its power source. Next, remove the paper trays inside the printer. Also remove the toner cartridge. Now you should clean inside the pocket where the toner cartridge rests. Use the small brush that came with your printer. If you do not have one, use a soft dry cloth instead.
If your printer did come with a special brush, you can use it to clean the mirror. If not, leave the mirror alone. When cleaning, make sure to remove any traces of toner, paper, or dust you find inside. Next, find the rollers. Clean those as well except for the roller made of a sponge like material. Once you finish, place the toner back inside the printer.
There may also be a way for your printer to perform an automatic cleaning process. First, open up the printer’s software on your computer. You can probably find this software on a CD, your desktop’s toolbar, or somewhere in the programs folder.
Once you open up the software, look through the different menus. Good places to look would be menus labeled options, tools, and utilities. After you find it, simply launch the cleaning program and follow the instructions as they appear on your screen.

If you really mean a laser printer (page printer), the easiest part is the Toner Cartridge. It is made to be replaceable by the end user. If what you meant was an Ink Jet Printer (character printer), then it would be the Ink Cartridges, for the same reason.

If you have an HP laser printer, I suggest you buy it directly from HP online store. I find it cheaper to get laser printer cartridges from them for my HP laser printer. If you have a different brand of laser printer, amazon is a good place to start if you're looking for a cheaper laser printer cartridge.
Laser jet printers can easily be found wherever printers are sold. Some retailers who carry laser jet printers are Walmart, Office Depot, and Staples.
If the vellum is rated for a laser printer, it shouldn't be a problem. You do NOT want to use inkjet paper in a laser printer, or vice-versa.
A laser printer and an inkjet printer differ mainly in how they print, what they print best, and long-term costs: Laser Printer Uses toner powder and a laser to fuse text/images onto paper. Better for sharp text, business documents, and high-volume printing. Usually faster and more cost-efficient per page. Higher upfront cost but lower running cost. Black-and-white models are especially economical. Inkjet Printer Uses liquid ink sprayed through tiny nozzles. Best for color prints, photos, and detailed images. Slower than lasers for heavy print jobs. Lower upfront cost but higher ink cost over time. Good for home use, crafts, and photo printing.

Yes, you can print photos on a laser printer, but the quality may not be as high as what you would get from an inkjet printer, especially if you’re using a regular home or office laser printer.
