There are plenty of battery powered beacons that can be used outdoors. Most beacons, especially battery powered ones are specifically designed to be used in the outdoors. Many of which fits into the environment the beacon was designed for, such as in a terrain snowy environment. Personels also use such beacons for hunting trips, cave trekking, search and rescue and much more.

They are powered by a battery. This allows the laptop to be used almost anywhere.
Some used steam-powered engines, others used early petrol or gas engines. Some even used battery-powered electric motors.
Any battery cell that's being used.
The first battery-powered clock was invented in 1840 by Alexander Bain, a Scottish inventor. He used a battery to power the electromagnetic impulses that drove the movement of the clock hands. This was a significant advancement in timekeeping technology.

In a battery-powered radio, chemical energy stored in the battery is transformed into electrical energy, which powers the electronic components of the radio. This electrical energy is then converted into sound energy and radiowaves, allowing the radio to produce sound.
Beacons are traditionally lit as a signal to communicate important information over long distances, such as to warn of danger or to guide travelers. In modern times, beacons are often used for navigation, communication, and decorative purposes.
From my research, electric radio controlled airplanes are powered by rechargeable batteries. A battery used for this purpose is the 150 mAH 3.7V Lipoly Battery. Here is a link to the battery information: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/blade_msr_upgrade_150_mah_3.7v_lipoly_battery_176851_prd1.htm
Depending on how it's used, it can mean air conditioning, or it can mean alternating current (as electrically powered) as opposed to battery powered (DC, which is direct current). Or Animal Crossing
