When you look at a cd, the colored part is just there to add size to it. The silvery stuff in the middle is what the CD players read.
In order to install a CD player you have to remove the trim arround the radio and ac vents there should be 4 little connections one on the top left one on the top right one on the bottom left and one on the bottom right remove this and you will have access to the radio. You should see the screws connecting the radio
