To close the trunk on a 2006 Mercedes, simply push down firmly on the trunk lid until it latches securely. To ensure the trunk light goes out, make sure the trunk is fully closed; it may take a little extra pressure to ensure it's sealed properly. If the light remains on, check for any obstructions or issues with the trunk latch that might prevent it from closing completely. If problems persist, consult your owner’s manual or a professional for assistance.

In the 2006 Mercedes SLK, the trunk release button is typically located on the driver's side door panel, near the window controls. It may also be found on the key fob, allowing you to open the trunk remotely. Additionally, there is a release lever in the trunk itself, which can be used in case of an emergency.
