How do you program your Dish Network remote to work on your Philips TV?

You can address the remote to your receiver using the steps below!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.

2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.

3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.

4.) Press the pound (#) button.

5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.

6.) Test remote and see if works.

Try remote codes 525, 566, 651, 652, 655, 656, 671, 690, 723, 724, 729, 770 on your Dish Network remote.

If this does not work, you can do a Dish power scan.

1) Turn on your TV

2) Hold down the 'tv' button at the top of your dish remote (the one that lights up) until all 4 buttons at the top light up

3) Press the large red power button

4) Press the channel up (above select usually) slowly until the tv shuts off

5) Once the tv shuts off press the pound key '#' (at the bottom of your dish TV remote)

Assuming it is not the new Dish Hopper receiver, you will need to bring up your "System info" screen one of two ways: Press the power button on the front of your Dish Network receiver and then press the down arrow (also located on the front of your receiver. Depending on what model receiver you have, you may also notice a "System info" button on your Dish receiver, if this is the case you can simply press the system info button.

The system info screen will display what your Dish remote code is (near the bottom of the screen) for both for TV 1 and TV 2 if you have a duo receiver.

Follow these steps once you find your Remote Code number:

1) Press the SAT mode button on your dish remote (this button should light up) and hold for about 3 seconds until all of the mode buttons light up-you can then let go of the button.

2) Using the number pad, enter any number between 1- 16 (1 is usually default) or the number you originally had on the system info screen.

3) Press the pound "#" key-The SAT button should light up 3 times

4) Press the record button (usually under the pause button in the middle)

5) Press the select button and then hit guide to make sure your remote is programmed correctly.
