That model was manufactured between the years of 1983 and 1996, you would need your serial number to determine the exact age of the appliance. If you have the serial number, you can call Maytag and they can tell you the age.
The Maytag model A183 washer was first introduced in the early 1990s. To determine its exact age, you would need to check the serial number, which typically indicates the date of manufacture. If you provide the serial number, I can help you decode it to find out the specific age of your washer.
saw an old add in 2001 says 3.2 cubic feet
My mom still has one of these old Maytag A9700 washers and it's about 20 years old. Just from looking inside, it appears to be 3.4-3.6 cuft.
Maytag Model LAT9605AAE was made in 1989. This is a washer appliance and some of the design has sears parts in it.
The model we have is also LAT4910AAW and it was purchased in 1992.
Why is my serial no different than yours for the Maytag model no LAT9304AAE
I have had mine for 24 years and I bought it used.
Bought mine in 1983 and I'm still using it
The value of the washer and dryer will be close to $500 for the set. The exact amount may vary depending upon the exact model and their condition.
We bought ours, and the matching dryer, in 1983! We are JUST NOW upgrading in Nov 2011. Both the washer and dryer STILL work!!
Answer by: THowell1975Your serial # is missing some digits...find them all and check out: http://www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.phpApparently THowell1975 has no clue about the Maytag you have... lol... That series model (A50) was produced by Maytag from 1964 till sometime in the 1970's. You are not missing any digits from your model number. I know this for a fact because I actually own one of these units. It has only broken 1 "belt" in 15 years and Maytag actually still has parts for this washer in stock in their warehouse the last time I checked about 2yrs ago. If you are old enough you may remember the old Maytag commercials where the repair man does nothing because the units never break... well I personally believe that commercial was made because of this washer model lol... It has seen 2 boys through high school sports and the spin drum actually almost dries the clothes. You couldn't pick a better old washer to have!
