A function that mutes the television typically sends a command to the TV's audio system to reduce the volume to zero or to a specific mute state. This can be achieved through a remote control button labeled "Mute," which toggles the sound on and off. In programming terms, this function could be represented as mute(), which when called, would change the audio output settings to mute the sound.
Press mute again
On the top of the remote the left button and mute must be pressed at the same time!

To program a LAX Max universal remote to an Element TV FLX3210, first, turn on the TV. Then, press and hold the "TV" button on the remote until the red LED lights up, then release the button. Next, press and hold the "Set" button until the red LED blinks and then stays on. Enter the code for Element TVs (you may need to refer to the remote's manual for the specific code) and then press the "TV" button again. The red LED should turn off, indicating successful programming.
The mute button on a cell phone simply means that when you press that button, you can hear the person you are talking to but they cannot hear you.
If you can't find your Directv remote code for a Coby TV model #TFTV3225 then try this. At the top of your Directv remote where it says AV1, AV2 and TV, make sure it is on TV mode. then find the "mute" button right below the volume. Aim remote at TV and Press and "hold mute and select" at the same time until green light flashes twice. Release the mute and select buttons and enter 9911 and then tap the channel up button repeatedly until your TV powers off. If it turns off then you're good to go, if not then try it again. You probably missed something. This worked for me but it took me a couple of times to get it right. Good Luck!
