I had a stuck CD, Books on CD from the Library. Missed the comment about not putting Library CDs into the player if they have any exterior labels on them. Searched and tried most of the tips on the web and then I lucked out.
Try scanning to different tracks, and pressing eject in dirrerent locations on the CD. The book on tape completed and I hit Eject as it started to preplay from track 1. Nerver got any where ejecting but it continued to play the CD. I moved it to the last track and the CD and immediately hit EJECT. Have the read mechanism in a different spot did the trick.
You don't!
How did that even happen...
They get stuck when the CD Changer is starting to get worn out.
Remove the retaining cover from the front of the CD changer. Remove the CD changer retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the CD changer.
Remove the decorative cover from your 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe six CD changer. Remove the CD changer retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the CD changer.
You must remove the strip across the dash to remove the side panel to access the CD changer...if you have used paper label CD's you may have glue ick all over your rollers...if it continues to run when you use the radio it will strip the gears of the changer and it's all over.
Begin by removing the wiring harness from the back of your CD changer. Remove the CD changer retaining bolts. The CD changer will come out.
You need to clean the CD Changer every 6 months to ensure the CD Changer runs smoothly.
If a CD is stuck in the CD changer, it is probably going to have to be taken apart. Putting a screw driver into it could break it along with the CD.Ê
CD is stuck in the changer. very common if CD has a "stick on label".
remove the sterio and then un screw the two bolts Alternatively, with the CD Changer in the vehicle, push 'eject' and if the CD won't come out, get a credit card or something similar and lift the CD upward. I have also had to grab the CD with needle-nosed pliers. They get stuck when you use homemade CDs, commercial CDs of good quality almost never get stuck.
I have a 2003 Expedition with a 6 CD changer that had a CD stuck in it. We disconnected the battery cables and then reconnected them (have your key fob close by in case your alarm goes off). When we reconnected the battery cables the CD player spit out the stuck CD and then reinitialized itself for about a minute or two. Then I could load and eject all of the CDs inside, and the CD player worked again.
