I contacted Westinghouse

and was emailed

"ZW1112613 VR-40 Firmware for TW61901-S040C‏"I simply loaded the file to a thumb/jump drive and inserted it into the USB port on the TV. I also had to use a Samsung universal remote code. I have Comcast remote with the red "ok" button and the code was 10178. I am now able to adjust the volume and turn the TV off with the Comcast remote.

It was a bit of a pain but now I no longer duel wield remotes in bed. I hope you find this helpful and that you post your own tips to pay it forward.

I have provided the codes for your Westinghouse TV and instructions on how to program the remote to your TV.

TV codes: 500, 719, 659, 672, 674, 665, and 670

Remotes: Basic (Television Only)

1. Turn the Television On.
2. Press and hold the clear TV button for three seconds until the LED flashes.
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press #. Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV.
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Use 500. Works for my 32" Westinghouse. If that doesn't work, try other Sony codes.

Westinghouse uses sony and samsung codes. On my westinghouse 60" I was able to get 10030 to work. Good luck!
