Alternater may not be charging would be my first thought.
broken belt
I obviously means that there is something wrong with the alternator or battery. When both lights are on 80 percent of the time its the alternator. Either your belt fell off or your alternator went bad.
Probably the alternator. Have it checked if it is charging.
There are several warning lights on a 2008 Honda Civic. The main lights are for the brake system, air bag system, check engine, tire pressure, oil pressure, and battery power.

The Infiniti G35 dashboard features a variety of warning lights that indicate the status of the vehicle's systems. Common lights include the check engine light, oil pressure warning, battery alert, and brake warning light. Each light serves as a crucial indicator for potential issues; for instance, the check engine light may signal an engine problem, while the oil pressure light indicates low oil levels. It's important to consult the owner's manual for specific light meanings and recommended actions if any warning lights illuminate.
Alternator has/is going bad.
Possibly a bad alternator (the system is not charging the battery).
Brake lights draw their energy from the vehicle's battery.
you don't really know unless you get the vehicle tested...most likely it would be your battery or your brakes
I had this same problem with my !995 Galant. It turned out to be the alternator.
