An emergency eject hole is a safety feature found in certain equipment, such as aircraft or machinery, that allows for the rapid release or ejection of components or personnel in emergency situations. This mechanism is designed to provide a quick escape route or to remove malfunctioning parts to prevent further hazards. Typically, it is clearly marked and accessible, ensuring that users can act swiftly during critical incidents.
To eject a disc from a Dell laptop, you can press the physical eject button on the disc drive, if available. Alternatively, you can right-click on the disc drive icon in "This PC" or "My Computer" and select "Eject." If the disc drive is not responding, you can use a paperclip to press the small emergency eject hole on the drive to release the disc manually.
Computers equipped with modern "slot" drives usually do not have the emergency eject mechanism using a paperclip stuck in a hole. On these machines turning the computer off then back on is supposed to force the drive to eject (if it is already off, just turn it on).
Most CD / DVD drives have a small hole on the front panel. This is an "emergency eject button." Insert a needle or bent paperclip carefully into the hole. You should feel it push against something, and then see the tray eject slightly. Note that this can wear out the tray mechanism, so use sparingly.
If your CD/DVD drive tray won't open then you may be able to open it using a safety pin or paper clip, this will be done by poking the paperclip or other long thin object into the emergency eject hole - NOT the audio jack!! AnswerI assume you cannot get it to eject. Look for a tiny hole near the place you insert the CD. With a straight pin, push inside that hole to eject the CD. If you see no hole, I have no idea how to get it out, but maybe someone else can help.I have the same Problem. I have to use a CD and wrap tape sticky side out around the Cd. I press the eject button and insert the taped Cd and it grabs the other Cd and pull it out. Good luck..
stick a straightened paper clip in the small hole on the faceplate..the tray should eject.
If the eject button isn't working, you can try ejecting the disk through your computer's operating system. On Windows, open "This PC," right-click on the drive, and select "Eject." On a Mac, you can drag the disk icon to the Trash or right-click and choose "Eject." If that doesn’t work, you can use a paperclip to manually eject the disk by inserting it into the small hole near the drive's tray.
Keep on trying to eject it out with remote or manually on the unit. When it does eject the tray out. Always leave a disk inside the tray. don't leave it empty for seems it more likely to eject out that way. Model I was using was DP202AS pROGRESSIVE SCAN DVD PLAYER.
the bullet hole
Insert a pin in the small hole next to the eject button
there is a little hole under the CD door, push something thin there and the door will open. Gently push the end of an opened (unbent) paper clip into the small hole on the front of the door. It doesn't take much pressure.
