I use Battery Corrosion Guard it is a local product to the Eastern Washington area but can be found at the related links. It is a rare product that really works. Brush it on your battery terminals and the battery will wear out before it corrodes.
your battery terminals may have battery acid build up between the terminals and battery posts, remove both terminals and clean with boiling water refit terminals and try to start again...same thing happened to me once...
Check both battery terminals mine did the same thing but battery was 100% tightened terminals and no problems.... if corrosion on terminals a baking soda + water concoction removes corrosion very easily. usually a click is a dead battery or an incomplete circuit. Best of luck
The same thing happened to me! one day i was cleaning the battery terminals and after hooking the battery back up it worked again!
Uses a Type 51 or 51R. The only difference between them is the plus and minus terminals are reversed. Only thing that means is you might have to install the battery backwards so the terminals on the batt align with the cables. The battery is symmetrical so you wont have any clearance issues.
It is going to be one of a few things. First thing to check is the battery terminals. Look for loose or corroded terminals at the battery. If after cleaning them with a wire battery terminal cleaner brush, and tightening them it still will not start, have the battery checked to see if it is good. If the battery is good, then have the starter checked.
i had the same problem on my Taurus 06. check the battery and it's connections, something is loose. i have changed the battery and cleaned the the terminals. every thing turned ok
you need to return that thing...... seriously dude
Same thing happened to me, I just tightened my + and - battery terminals and it worked. Hope it's that simple for you!
The first thing you do is turn off the car, and set the parking brake. Now detach the black battery terminal from the battery. Next, repeat the same procedure with the red terminal. Using a rachet and socket, remove the battery hold down clamp. Grab the old battery from the bottom with both hands and lift it out of its tray. Using a wire brush, thoroughly clean the corrosion from the battery terminals with a baking soda and water mixture. Place the new battery in the tray and secure it with the hold down clamp. For best results, spray the battery terminals with a anti corrosion solutions. Now attach the red terminal first, followed by the black terminal, making sure the terminals are tight enough that they cannot move.
Battery size should be listed in a catalogue where you buy it. That's a top POST battery , terminals are a standard size, one is larger than the other, are you sure you are not trying to hook up bacwards - NOT A GOOD THING!
check to see if the battery terminals are tight then locate the starter relay and check it. iif the relay is bad replace it . the relay should be under the hood. the other thing it may be is a locked up starter in which case you will have to replace it. but start with the terminals first.
No, gates and terminals are not the same thing. Terminals are the entire airport facility where passengers check in, go through security, and board planes. Gates are specific areas within the terminal where passengers board and disembark from planes.
